About
Research first. Then products.
MuskarTech is a technology company that builds and runs its own software products. Client work is part of what we do, but products are at the center: they make us live with our own decisions.
Why products first
Agencies hand software over and move on. Product teams have to live with it: every shortcut, every unclear screen, every feature nobody uses comes back to them. We chose to be the second kind.
That is why our own products come first. Each one grew out of a plain observation. Kontrolvar: as a business adds branches, the standard gets harder to see. RentRota: rental businesses still run on notebooks, spreadsheets and phone calls. Labs is where the next observations get tested.
The services we offer use the same muscles. When we build for a client, we build as if we would have to maintain it ourselves.
Principles
What we hold ourselves to
Clarity over features
A short list of things that work well beats a long list of things that almost work.
Honest by default
We only claim what we can show. No inflated numbers, no borrowed logos.
Built to last
We make choices our future selves can maintain, and write them down.
Close to the work
We learn from the people who do the job, not from assumptions about them.
